The bespoke reinforcement continuity system for concrete structures
At PERI UK, we have partnered with Invisible Connections to provide our customers with a streamlined solution to achieve continuity of reinforcement between pours as part of our SYSTEM PLUS product range. Our belief with SYSTEM PLUS is that we only supply products that truly add value and drive efficiencies on site, like FERBOX.
The FERBOX unit is secured inside the formwork at the front face, with its casing remaining embedded in the concrete after the pour. The galvanised and indented profile of the basing reduces the requirement for traditional scabbling at the joint interface. Once the formwork is removed, the casing lid can be taken away, providing access to the starter bars inside. These bars can then be bent outwards and lapped with loose reinforcement ready for the next concrete pour.
FERBOX is available in both standard and bespoke configurations. The standard range offers fixed casing lengths, twin-leg U-bars and single-leg hook-bars. For bespoke requirements, there are 19 different bar shape configurations suitable for various applications, with bar diameters 10, 12 and 16mm. The bespoke solution eliminates on-site cutting and reduces material waste. Using a bespoke box eliminates cutting on site as well and ensures the anchorages truly suit wall depth and concrete cover with the correct leg lengths.
