3-S Panels

The traditional formwork panel

The 3-S panel is the traditional formwork panel, mainly used in bridge construction in Europe. It is used both for walls and slabs, and the concrete finish shows a timber structure. The inherently stable panel has a melamine resin coating and is manufactured using fully exterior glue, giving it water and weather resistance in accordance with EN13353 (SWP/3).

The standard form used in the UK ranges from 1.5 m to 2.5 m in length x 500mm width in 21mm thickness. 3-S panels are available in Yellow (without edge protection) or Red/Brown E-profile (with front-edge aluminium edge protection profiles for improved stability).

Thicker panels (27mm) and large format panels are also available.
