PERI UK enjoyed another night of success at the New Civil Engineer Tech Fest 2021 awards earlier this month, after winning Best Use of Technology for the PERI InSite Pressure sensor in two categories.

The pressure sensor, one of four in PERI’s range of concrete sensors, won an award for smart data collection and site productivity following its contribution to the Regent Street Flyover reconstruction project in Leeds.

Judges commended the pressure sensor for driving efficiency and its ability to increase productivity on site.

The pressure sensor was introduced to the UK construction market last year. It was developed to give site teams more control during the concreting process as it monitors the pressure acting on the formwork in situ.

With real-time insights, contractors can make informed decisions in response to some of construction’s biggest challenges around speed and safety. This not only increases the level of safety during the concreting process and compares real loads to calculated loads but also helps to save both time and money.

The sensor was also previously awarded ‘Product Innovation of the Year’ at the British Construction Industry Awards.
