This major investment is a first for PERI’s scaffolding range in Northern Ireland and marks the first time the two companies will be working together.
K2 Scaffolding says the addition of PERI UP scaffolding to its stock profile will support its plans to grow and deliver projects on a larger scale across construction sectors with a new system.
The family-run business has already started putting its investment to use by erecting its first PERI UP project with the support of PERI’s scaffolding engineering services. The Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s University Belfast is undergoing refurbishment to preserve the listed building. PERI UP Flex will provide access around the building’s exterior to enable refurbishment works.
PERI says its thrilled to form a long-term partnership with K2 Scaffolding and is committed to helping the scaffolding contractor break into new sectors with its strong product offering.
Commenting on the partnership, Business Development Manager – PERI UP, Charles Stratford said:
“Continuity is important for any contractor in this industry. By working directly with PERI as their manufacturer, engineer and rental partner of scaffolding solutions, K2 Scaffolding can benefit from a shorter supply chain and more flexibility around their project requirements. With the support of our logistics network across the UK, we are able to directly support K2 Scaffolding with its plans to scale up and diversify its project portfolio in any sector and in any region. Additionally, a versatile product like the PERI UP system makes those transitions between sectors more seamless. K2 Scaffolding is already a well-established brand in Northern Ireland and we are looking forward to helping the team develop the business around other parts of the UK.”
Tara Johnston, Financial Controller at K2 Scaffolding commented:
“K2 Scaffolding is a family-run business established in 2004 by our two Directors, Tracy Ferguson and Robert McVeigh. With the support of our dedicated workforce, our goal is to deliver a first-class scaffolding service to our customers. We are excited to be the first company in Northern Ireland to make a substantial investment in the PERI UP scaffold system. We believe the system’s simplicity, speed, and flexibility will enable us to take on more ambitious projects and support our growth plans. We’re really pleased with the results on our two live projects – the historical Queen’s University Seamus Heaney Centre and the City Hospital. We see PERI UP as the future of the scaffolding industry in Northern Ireland and are delighted to partner with PERI on this journey.
